YOU DON'T FIT THE MOLD.
Your therapist shouldn't either.
MEET GIULIA P. DAVIS, LMFT
Specialized Therapy and Tailored Intensives for Professionals, High-Achieving Couples and Polycules, and the Italian Diaspora in California
If you’re here, you’re likely someone who has been holding it all together.
You navigate complex relationships and a life that doesn’t pause. You’re not looking for surface fixes or someone who just nods along —you want depth, clarity, and meaningful change.
What you need is someone who understands the pressures you carry, tracks the full complexity of your relational and internal patterns, and helps you shift dynamics that have been weighing on you for far too long.
You are in the right place.
Your life holds more complexity than most therapists are trained to handle.
I’m Giulia (pronounced Joo-lee-ah). I became a LMFT and founded Mycelia Therapy to support individuals and couples whose lives are fast-moving, layered, and emotionally complex, and who require a therapeutic approach that honors that level of complexity.
Many of the clients I work with are successful by external measures—yet privately they are navigating relational strain, burnout, or the invisible anxiety that standard clinical models are not equipped to resolve.
They come to me because they need a therapist who can hold and integrate the personal, relational, and professional parts of their lives into a single, coherent strategy for change.

This is where you can come to Recalibrate, Reconnect, and Find Clarity.
A Different Kind of Therapist
The Story Behind My Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years in global management consulting—becoming an equity partner, founding my own firm, advising Fortune 500 companies, and leading teams across three continents. Later, as Program Director at Stanford University’s World House Project, I deepened a systems-level understanding of power, identity, and relational dynamics.
Over time, I saw the same pattern everywhere: strategy can take people far, but it’s their relationships, inner world, and unspoken emotional dynamics that determine whether they actually thrive.
Psychotherapy offered the most direct way to work with these patterns at their source. That’s what led me to become a licensed therapist.
The Mycelia Lens: Systems Thinking
My approach is informed by the understanding that people, couples, and organizations are shaped by the systems they inhabit. Change doesn't happen by "fixing" an individual in isolation; it happens by shifting the patterns that govern how you relate, decide, and respond.
What it’s like to work with me
I think in systems: I track how your professional, personal, and cultural worlds intersect.
I see patterns quickly: I don't need months to understand your context—and I won’t waste your time circling the same old ground.
I work on what’s real: We focus on the architecture of your life—your sense of self, your relationships, your partnership(s) — holding space for the emotional depth this work requires, while blending evidence-based approaches with practical tools you can use immediately.
I work alongside you to make sense of dynamics that are hard to see when you’re in the middle of them. I’m not a passive observer—clients experience me as a steady, discerning partner who brings clarity, perspective, and the kind of productive friction that facilitates real change.
When conversations become tangled, I act as a translator, helping you and your partner identify the hidden logic driving your interactions. My role is to reflect the patterns that are currently limiting you and to engage with you in ways that move you forward.
Additionally, I am also a trained mindfulness and psychedelic assisted therapy provider and can guide you through expanded states of consciousness, as well as support you in the integration of extraordinary experiences.
Sessions are online throughout California, designed around demanding schedules. For couples ready to go deeper faster, I offer tailored multi-day intensives that promote quick breakthroughs.
Warm, direct, and perceptive of the patterns beneath the surface.
