THE INVESTMENT
OF THERAPY
Where Emotional Wealth begins.
INDIVIDUAL AND COUPLES THERAPY IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA
Therapy is an Investment
Therapy is an investment of time,
attention, and trust.
It’s also a financial commitment — one that reflects the seriousness of the work
we do together.
Fees start at $300 for individuals
and $350 for couples (full list here).
Our work together is an ongoing collaboration toward growth, healing, and deeper understanding — of yourself and your relationships.
Your wellbeing is the foundation of everything that truly matters. It’s an investment that endures far beyond the hour we spend together.
I invest deeply in each client I work with.
This includes ongoing advanced education, specialized training, and regular consultation with leading experts in the field. Each of these commitments ensures that our work stays current, responsive, and grounded in the best practices available.
I see myself as both a steward of your story and a collaborator in your process — bringing care, discernment, and a continuous pursuit of excellence to every stage of our work together.
My Investment
BEHIND THE SCENES
Therapy asks for more than attendance; it requires engagement, curiosity, and a willingness to stay with the process.
Choosing to invest in therapy means choosing to invest in yourself, your relationships, and the possibility of change.
The financial investment is one way of honoring that commitment — it creates a shared sense of accountability and helps sustain the space where growth happens.

YOUR PART OF THE WORK
My practice is built on mutual commitment.
I am dedicated to offering the highest standard of care to a select number of clients who are equally committed to showing up fully for their work.

INSURANCE & PRIVACY
As a private-pay therapist in California, I’ve chosen not to be affiliated with any insurance panels.
This choice reflects my commitment to confidentiality and clinical independence —so you can count on true privacy, flexible structure, and depth of focus in our work together.
Most insurance panels:
Don’t cover couples therapy unless one partner has a qualifying diagnosis.
Don’t reimburse extended or intensive sessions
Often require a formal diagnosis and access to records, and they may influence the type or length of care approved. I believe that making this determination should be up to the client and clinician, not the insurance company.
By working privately, we can determine the pace and depth of therapy based solely on your needs — not on external authorization.
If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly billing statement (superbill) for you to submit for possible reimbursement. Please confirm coverage directly with your provider.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

An Ecosystem
of Care
ROOTED IN CONNECTION
Mycelia Therapy operates within a broader ecosystem of care that values both excellence and accessibility.
Full-fee sessions sustain a limited number of reduced-fee spots — especially for clients from marginalized communities — and support my work with The Liberation Institute, a San Francisco–based nonprofit expanding access to mental health care for all, regardless of income or identity.
This model makes it possible to offer deeply engaged, high-quality care while supporting broader equity in the mental health field.
Healing, like mycelial growth, thrives in networks of mutual support. When you invest in therapy with me, you’re not only investing in your own transformation — you’re helping strengthen the web of care that makes collective healing possible.
