Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

KAP: process and fees

If you’re considering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with me, this guide explains how we’ll work together and what each part costs. Sessions take place online. Your medical clinician assesses whether ketamine is appropriate and manages your prescription and dose.

Getting started

Intake assessment

60 minutes

We’ll discuss your history, current concerns, and goals. You’ll have time to ask questions and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.

$420

Your medical assessment

You complete one of the following assessments, billed separately by your medical clinician.

Prescribing assessment

Approximately $250

A prescriber assesses whether ketamine is appropriate and prescribes it if suitable.

OR

Extended psychiatric evaluation

Estimated $1,200–$1,500

If you want a more extensive assessment, you can see a collaborating psychiatrist instead. We’ll confirm availability and fees before you book.

Your therapy sessions

Preparation

60 minutes

We’ll discuss your intentions and walk through the medicine session, including a practical checklist for your home setup.

$420

Online medicine session

Approximately 3 hours

I’ll be with you remotely throughout the session. Another adult must be present in your home and available if needed. Your medical clinician determines your dose.

$1,460

Integration

60 minutes

A few days later, we’ll talk through your experience and how to bring useful insights into daily life.

$420
$2,300

These three therapy sessions total $2,300. The initial intake is a separate $420. Medical appointments and medication are billed separately.

Medical follow-up and medication

Around the middle of treatment, you’ll have a check-in with your psychiatrist or prescriber. The fee will be confirmed with your clinician before booking.

You purchase medication separately from the pharmacy. The estimate discussed is $40–$70, depending on the pharmacy. Your pharmacy will confirm the price and how many doses the prescription includes.

How often we meet

A possible course discussed in consultation is around eight medicine sessions over seven to eight months, with preparation and integration around each session. We’ll review the pace together as treatment progresses. Your plan depends on clinical assessment and your response.
